Last week I saw a play called “De Laatste Dichters“. Which was inspired by The Last Poets. Christine Otten wrote a book about them and asked MC Theatre to tribute a play.

What was really special is that the actual Last Poets attended the event. Although it was all in dutch, they were very much moved, that 40 years later kids from an other country have made a play about them.
The following week I attended a poetry & performance workshop.
This is the poet in me:
Time does not exist
I say Time does not exist
But it does in my daily planner
Where I continuously am reminded
that the days have been passing
and the year is not over
So…
I hear the clock ticking
not slowly, not too fast
It always depends, cause
What is on your mind?!
Thats is why Time does not exist
But situations where as I feel
Time leaning on my shoulders
Chasing me, chasing it, a ghost
I tell you does not exist
Yet haunts me on my way
Where I keep it locked down
on paper, carrying Time,
in my purse.
